I have actually seen typos in the literature. Not many. But I love looking for typos when I read and found a couple that I pointed out to my car group while in service.

seems to me that, despite the fact that the content of the wts literatrash is crap, i've never seen a typo or grammatical error in the lit.
anybody ever noticed this or ever found instances of errors?
and, if there are no errors, how do they manage that?

you reassured me while i was one of the walking wounded.
you know that line from the movie "shadowlands", when the student says to c.s.
Welcome Thetis, look forward to reading more from you.
my experience is in no way remarkeable but i felt like sharing it anyway.
i was raised a jw.
my mom became one the year i was born.
Welcome MrFreeze, you sound cool as a cucumber.

parents went to a jw gathering to read the wt for this week.a jw said that only 5 people out of 125 in my congo will survive armageddon and then that elder said: "no,not 5 people, maybe 20".
damn i don't have words for him.
Plenty of witnesses still study the WT at gatherings and picnics.

started a new topic b/c i didn't want to threadjack another ongoing pointless debate.
:) (isn't it interesting how the apologists all come out around dc time?).
i have seen that statement made over and over again by jws about disfellowshipping.
Here's what we knew before we got baptized.
That we will be destroyed at Armaggedon by Jehovah because we understood the issues of universal sovereignty and refused to take a stand.
There was so much we didn't know.
Good thread
one year sober.
got bombed today.
really upset at myself.
I don't fully understand alcoholism. But you were sober for many many days. You'll be sober many many more.
I think Outlaw, techdotcom, and transhuman's position is healthy. Don't beat yourself up and make it worse than it has to be. Using humor to cope with our "failures" is beneficial.

i think that because i never made a formal prayer like they say your supposed to before getting baptized.
i never said yes to the questions they asked at the convention before i got dipped.
i just went through the motions.
Noni that's a surprising admission from your mom. Most JW parents take the position that we knew what we were doing (or should have) and that's that. I remember when I was about to get baptized I was on the phone with my dad. He asked me if I had made a dedication to Jehovah in prayer. I said "uh, yeah" and said a quick prayer telling Jehovah that I dedicate my life to him........ lol.
It's all soooo stupid.

they insist you must wear you and whats more it must be placed in clear view for everyone else to see.. i have been challenged before now " sister!
are you wearing your badge!?
" it made me wonder why?
A sister in our congregation would write everyone's name in calligraphy on the badges. It was really pretty and if your name was written in a style other than calligraphy everyone knew you had picked up your badge late.......lol.
When you're a kid everyone is always labelling you and your stuff in case you get lost. So when I was a kid I thought that's what we needed it for....lol. Most of us ditched the badges in our preteen years because it was no longer cool. As an adult I just refused to wear them.
